"Since no brain is the same, every person will have their own limits of time perception and their own sphere of now. This hilariously smart painting was created by my grandmother's brother, Uncle Buddy in 1970. It was so good to visit it again this weekend - I need to get a print made of this for my house 😍😍

My mother, with her mother, and her mother; sixty years ago. I know this should invoke deep contemplative thoughts, but for the first time in my life, I finally figured out where my black scarf came from 😂

This wonderful woman concluded her great story today. More than my grandmother, she was a friend and mentor. She introduced me to painting, critical thinking, drawing, philosophy, poetry, the history channel, scrabble -- I could go on and on in all the ways she influenced me. I'm glad I could be there in her last sweet days amongst friends and family to share stories and have multiple drum circles. I love you, my darling, and I look forward to seeing you on the other side ❤️❤️❤️

My inner child watched cartoons before work, now my inner teenager is laying around and listening to Solange. Sometimes I forget that self care is as easy as finding a way to indulge those two 🙇🏻‍♀️💆🏻

As a child, I woke up alone in a vast cavern. When I grew into a young woman, I wondered these horrific forests in search of understanding. And now, I stand at the forests edge, out into these vast oceans being created before me. It's just a short trip back through the forest to the depths of my origins, yet so much lovelier out here at the sea 💙

Big breath - I'm looking forward to hitting the books again in a few months for grad school to study one of the most fascinating things in all the universe: the human mind.
I know this means I will paint less, but I welcome the depth that will come in understanding myself and others better.
Soon, I'll be taking down the shop from my website and only offering a limited number of pop up shops each year.
I will always be an artist, and I'm thankful I've been able to realize this dream in the glorious confusion that is to be a twenty-something.
And I look forward to sharing this new journey with you, my friend. I hope I am able to share the things I will learn in a way that is helpful to you on your journey ✨
